As a result of SPLM’s leadership and involvement in this loss, a situation that could easily have taken several months to resolve were all settled within a few short weeks. The businesses affected by the lack of sewer services were back in business within the first day, the flow of sewage was prevented from reaching the ocean, the businesses that were affected with direct damage from sewage were back in business within a few days, minimizing (and in some cases eliminating) loss of business income.
